I wish to introduce myself to the new students and welcome all of you
to the A.L. Band Department and our web site. The A.L. Band Department
is growing and on the way to becoming one of the feature organizations
in Iowa. We know that you will find your experience with our bands to be
a successful one.
This is my eighth year at Abraham Lincoln High School. My wife,
Teresa, is a computer template technician at the University of Nebraska
Hospital and together we look forward to helping your children have a
learning experience in the ALHS Band program. The summer is going by
rapidly and we need to start making plans to resume the school year.
We hope you will look to our web site as a source of information on a
weekly basis.

and I hope that you will use this information to help prepare your
family calendar so that you will be in attendance at all of our band
activities.
We are also very proud of our band’s accomplishments this year with
the band receiving Division I ratings at the Valleyfest Marching
Competition and the Iowa High School Music Association Contests for the
8th consecutive year. We had 4 all state band members selected this
year, and we also had 24 students selected to be members of the district
honor band. Of course, there are many activities and festivals in the
plans for this year and we hope you will be an active part of these.
